About Solorioja Tours
Born from my passion for history, my love for wine and my beloved hometown
Hi! I’m Clara - a born & bred Riojan girl! In fact, I’m a fifth generation of women in my family born in Logroño. I’ve spent my youth walking the old streets of the city with my grandmothers and mother, listening to their stories and I’m in love with Logroño, I know the local history by heart and I’m a natural storyteller so you will be re living the history of this land with me.
My love for travelling and discovering new lands and people has taken me to many places. I have an MA in History Art from Aberdeen University in Scotland and I have lived in Aberdeen & Glasgow for nearly 15 years (so you will hear some accent there!).
But overall I have a passion for our wine and the countryside that has made us such a world wide known wine region.
Since I graduated in Travel & Tourism in La Rioja University with a focused on Rioja wine and wine tourism, I’ve been an ambassador of Rioja wine abroad. I’ve also attended The Rioja Wine Council (DOca) courses and I hold a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Qualification. I have worked in event planning and hospitality in Scotland for over 10 years so I have an international perspective when it comes to explain Rioja wine to our visitors.

Come along for a culinary Tour of Logroño, Capital of La Rioja. You'll walk along Calle del Laurel , a bustling street lined with pinchos (tapas) & the town's hot spot for great food and of course wine

If you are in Logroño, Clara’s tour is an absolute must! Clara was accommodating and flexible from beginning, opening a tour for just my family and me on a very cold January night. Clara has excellent knowledge of the city and its history and maybe more importantly, where to get the best wine and pintxos. After an excellent historical tour of the city, Clara introduced us to the best spots. She chatted with us over a glass of wine and delicious pintxos and she could not have been nicer. She went above and beyond recommending wineries and trips to add to our itinerary while in the area. I cannot recommend Clara’s tour enough!

I really enjoyed Clara as a guide, her English is excellent, she’s knowledgeable and funny at the same time (which is a bit rare!) She gave us a nice tour of Logrono and then we went to 4-5 pintxos bars, she paired the food with the wine, both were EXCELLENT, i mean really good—i’m a foodie and love to eat, so it was a nice surprise to have a tapas tour that included unusual local yummy cuisine. highly recommend

We didn't know what to expect, but Clara obviously exceeded all our expectations by far! We had a really nice evening in the city of Logroño with a beautiful storytelling and tasting of different pinches and wines. Extremely recommended

Our spanish is very limited yet, with Clara, it was no problem. She provided my wife and I with a wonderful and well balanced experience of Logroño and the Rioja wine region. She was an absolute joy to be with.
